TCH Collection: Lush Decadence Couture Jewelry

Paris Travel Guide

At The TCH Collection our mantra is “Lush Decadence” - we live a lush decadent lifestyle that embraces all the good things in life - that includes visiting the best places to wine and dine as well as knowing where to shop, what to buy, how to be inspired by art and design and even what to read before your travels - as well as of course what jewels to wear. Toma Clark Haines, the creator of the TCH Collection and CEO of The Antiques Diva & Co, is opening her little black book of the best addresses for luxe living around the world. And as Audrey Hepburn said, “Paris is always a good idea”.

SHOP & DESIGN

Head to Galerie Vauclair to shop 18th and 19th C Pallisyware - plus admire their custom modern chinoiserie Fromental wallpaper. Stroll the 6eme & 7eme arrondissement stopping off at Deyrolle at 46 Rue de Bac to explore a world of curiosities before heading down Rue Jacob to Pierre Frey at 1-2 Rue de Furstenberg. The area is home to the best French fabric houses made famous each year during the open door events at Paris Design Week. If you’re planning a trip and want to be in Paris when the best parties are in town, SAVE THE DATE for Déco Off/Maison & Objet from Wednesday, January 16, 2019, to The Antiques Diva Paris Flea Market Champagne Brunch Sunday, January 20, 2019.

EAT & DRINK

Pink Mamma Paris brings la dolce vita to Paris! This trattoria in the 9th is on everyone in the know's must-visit list for the pizzas and the Italian BBQ! My menu go-to's are the mozza di bufala and a French 75, made with my favorite Citadelle Gin, bien sur! Meanwhile, Chez Ralph continues to be a hotspot but my MUST DINE destination for tried and true traditional French cuisines as well as celeb spotting (last time I was there I saw Wes Anderson and Tilda Swinton) is Chez George at 1 Rue du Mail.

INSPIRE
Paris Flea Market Design Inspiration | Paris Travel Guide | TCH Collection

The Paris Flea Market will always be the core of my design inspiration. What can one expect to find at the Paris Flea Market? In short, everything under the sun! Ok, maybe not EVERYTHING, but close to it. From fine 18th century French furniture to Mid-Century Modern pieces to lighting, rugs, artwork, sculptures, vintage linens and even Chanel, the Paris Flea Market has so much to offer antiques hunters. With all these options, how do you know what to buy at the Paris Flea Market? My answer is to let your heart guide you! Meandering through the vast markets which make up Les Puces is overwhelming. Getting there, knowing where to start, and navigating the specific sections of the marché - which is why I always recommend touring the Marché aux Puces St. Ouen de Clignancourt on the arm of an Antiques Diva Guide - the ONLY official guides of Paul Bert Serpette at the Paris Flea Market.

BEAUTY & FASHION
Beauty & Fashion | Paris Travel Guide | TCH Collection
The Ritz has reopened and you simply must visit the new Chanel au Ritz Spa, where Chanel treatments promise to make your beauty glow from within. Afterward, sneak out the back door of the hotel to the famous Rue Cambon where Chanel #5 still lingers in the air from the days when Coco was a resident at the hotel and would stroll the Rue to work each day. Down the road on the left is Cadolle lingerie shop at #4 Rue Cambon, where Herminie Cadolle created the very first bra in 1889 to make fashionable women more comfortable.
